The account form and email confirmation run on Atlas, not on this website. Free signup asks for a display name, username, email, and password; it does not ask for a mailing address or card. We are keeping new-account capacity small while billing and the wider preview are tested. The Limited Preview Plan is free during the preview. Before the preview ends, we’ll explain the options available for continued use. That may include a free plan or paid plans; no choice is required today. Signup does not start a paid subscription or authorize an automatic charge.
When paid checkout is offered, a third-party payment processor handles card entry and the billing details needed for payment. Checkout does not share your private conversations or files with it. Atlas keeps limited payment references and card display details needed for billing, not the full card number or security code.
